Investment Advisor & Financial Planner, RBC Dominion Securites
Linda has over 20 years of wealth management industry experience. She joined RBC Dominion Securities in 1999 as an Associate in an advisory team and then progressed to more senior roles, including regional Business Application Specialist and Senior Manager of Business Initiatives. In these roles she helped foster efficiency and improve portfolio management tools in the advisory practices. With her passion for wealth management and client relationships, Linda transitioned to the role of Investment Advisor in 2016.
Linda believes the foundation for good long-term client relationships is regular communication and continuous education. “When you can help educate your clients as to the why, you are building a foundation of trust that is unlikely to crack”. Continuous learning is also how Linda stays abreast of this ever-changing financial world. With every opportunity she looks to augment her expertise and her practice as she wholeheartedly believes in the benefits of sound financial planning—benefits that extend far beyond wealth to peace of mind and personal health.
Linda also recognizes that the depth and breadth of subject matter expertise and resources at her disposal from being part of Canada’s largest wealth management firm has been pivotal to fostering the growth of her business and knowledge. As an advocate of fostering more women in this male-dominated world, she is excited to be participating in this conference both to share and to receive the wisdoms from some of many unique and successful women in this business.
Born in White Rock, Linda grew up in Surrey, and studied business at Simon Fraser University. She spent a few years in Toronto before settling in South Surrey. Linda volunteers regularly and is currently on the board of her local chamber and an active member of Semiahmoo Rotary. Outside of her professional and volunteer life, Linda loves to dance and is starting to learn the art of golf.
